Description
The PTCB Online Practice Examination(s) has been developed using the same methodology as is used to develop PTCB's Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination. Questions were developed and reviewed by content experts.

The Official PTCB Practice ExamTM gives candidates the opportunity to become familiar with the format of the test questions and provide an indication of preparedness for the actual exam.  The general practice test meets the same exam blueprint specifications as the certification exam.  Completing this practice test does not result in certification in any way.  Upon completion of the general form, candidates will receive an overall scaled score as well as the subtest scaled score for each of the function areas (Assisting the Pharmacist in Serving Patients, Maintaining Medication and Inventory Control Systems, and Participating in the Administration and Management of Pharmacy Practice) along with a pass/fail status.  Although the passing standard is similar to that on the certification examination, a certain score on the practice test does not guarantee the same or similar score on the actual certification examination.   There are two versions of this test, which is ideal for the candidate who may wish to take it once to determine areas of weakness and then later, after studying, to assess readiness to test.

Test takers have 60 minutes to complete the practice tests and review their answers. All test scores and survey answers will remain confidential. The PTCB Practice Exams will be launched from the PTCB website using TesTrac as the delivery mechanism.
